Welcome to the Cub Scout Pack 6 Homepage !!

Pack 6 is part of the Tidewater Council, Three Rivers District, located in Chesapeake Virginia. Pack 6 is a thriving Pack, with a rich 40 year history of helping to mold the leaders of tomorrow. We are chartered by Great Bridge Baptist Church located at 640 Battlefield South directly across from the Hickory/Great Bridge YMCA.

What's Going on!!
Pack 6 Raingutter Regatta Get ready to set sail, as the 2013 Pack 6 Annual Raingutter Regatta will be held on Sunday, 21 July, at Great Bridge Lock Park, Locks Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23322. There will be a family-friendly, full-service galley, complete with dessert, available beginning at 3:30 PM, followed by the Regatta at 4:30 PM. Don't forget to bring your camp chairs, your appetite & drinks for your crew, as well as your finished sailing vessel ready for racing! Don't be left adrift, get your boats at St. Stephen-Martyr Catholic Church, 1544 S. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23322 on Wednesday, 27 June, from 3-4 PM. If your crew is unable to navigate to this location, chart your course for Great Bridge Baptist Church to get your Regatta boat the evening of Wednesday, 10 July, at 6:30 PM. Awards will be given for the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners of each rank. This is a perfect opportunity to bring new mateys along to visit our exciting Cub Scout Pack. The desired sailing attire is a Class B (activity) Uniform. If you haven't received your Pack 6 tee-shirt, they will be available the day of the event. Crew members can show their scout spirit by purchasing a tee-shirt, too, for only $10! Be sure to fill in the deck log on our Pack 6 website at www.cspack6.org with the attendance of your crew. A WORD FROM OUR PACK LEADERSHIP:
This Website was created to provide both parents and Pack Leaders with information about Pack 6. The Calendar tab shows the schedule of events for our entire Scouting Year. The Pack Tool Box contains very useful information about the Cub Scouting program. Please take time to look over the site and you will find many of your questions about Scouting answered in these pages. If you can't find the answer here, ask your Den Leaders. They can always point you in the right direction. Please check out the Pack Calendar for the latest meeting and event details.

Today the Pack consists of 8 dens (consisting of 8-12 boys) with an average total of 75-85 Scouts and 20-25 Adult Leaders. Most of the boys in our Pack are students from Great Bridge Primary, Cedar Road Elementary, Southeastern Elementary and Great Bridge Intermediate schools.

The Scouts meet regularly on Monday nights to conduct Den activities. On the fourth Monday of the month, all the Scouts and their family members gather for a Pack Meeting. During the course of the year, Pack 6 conducts major activities such as the Blue and Gold Banquet, the Pinewood Derby, various fundraisers, service events, competitive events and social activities. Boy Scout Troop 6, also chartered by Great Bridge Baptist Church, is closely affiliated with the Pack and many of the boys who "graduate" from Cub Scouts join Troop 6 as Boy Scouts.

All parents are highly encouraged to become involved. The leaders need your help in supervising the boys, running activities and in the administrative needs of the Den and the Pack. Simply put, parental involvement is the key element in the ultimate success, or failure, of the Pack and - more importantly - of your son and the enjoyment and rewards he can achieve in Scouting.
